Welcome
We are delighted you want to learn more about the James Hunter Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR). It is always an honor to share information with those interested in women’s lineage organization. The DAR is dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American History, and securing America’s future through better education. Our members continually look for new opportunities to promote these objectives locally. We enjoy our volunteer activities and are proud to make a difference in the lives of our community, state, and country.
In addition to our regular meetings, our chapter sponsors educational awards and scholarships. We support Crossnore Communities for Children and volunteer with our veterans. We honor our American Revolutionary War ancestors, recognize outstanding citizens in our area, and sponsor history essays.
Each member is a direct descendant of a Patriot of the American Revolutionary War.
